S1344AB Freq counter

Post by RStolting »

Does anyone have a S/M 6881069A27 for this old beast. I have finally fixed the erratic display problem, but really need to work on the VERY poor sensitivity. I have a donor, but the donor pre-amp card is worse! Also, seen any front covers for this either? Thanks in advance.

What radios do you own?: What's a radio?

IIRC the diodes in the front end of the pre-amp were HP4800 rf diodes and were the usual problem for poor sensitivity. They were used extensively in the S1327 and R1200 service monitors. The S1327, R1200 and your freq counter were all manufactured for Motorola by Systron-Donner. Obviously the diodes are NLA.
