HT750 cloning cable--help

Post by mick69 »

Please help....Any assistance would be nice, I made a cloning cable from some handset cables with the same pinouts as one you would see on ebay, but when i try to clone my ht750 i get the source radio clone tone and then a constant tone shortly after that will only stop when i turn it off. the target radio does nothing and no flashing led. Any info or help would be great, or even a proper picture or schematic would be nice. I know both the radios are fine.

do you have access to the cps? cloning with the cable don't transfer all of the info but cloning with the cps will copy all info. and i've found that cloning backwards with firmware versions shuts off some functions. where are you located, maybe somebody on the board can help you out?

i'll direct you here http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=74376 this guy was trying to do something around the same thing you are trying to do but it will go back to if you are licensed to be on the frequencyies that you are trying to clone or do you even know what is in the first radio? the first thing i would do is figure out what you want to do with theese and get a frequency or frequencies and get at least one of the radios programmed correctly then see about cloning but as i stated before, cloning with the cable won't transfer all information. you can't just buy a radio and start transmitting on it, you need to know what is in it.
