After some problems with an MCS2000 at the firehouse here, I began moving some radios around so that there would be a functioning radio in our engine. I pulled a dash mount model II and converted it for dual remote heads. In the dash configuration, the speaker was running directly from the db25 connector. In the dual head install, they had a speaker running from the white two pin connector thats in the remote head cable. There is also an amplified speaker at the rear head running from a 6 pin connector again in the remote head cable. When I plug the two pin front speaker in and power the radio up, it beeps twice and then won't tx. I can change talkgroups and scan on and off and all the usual settings from both heads, however neither of them will tx. If I unplug the two pin speaker connector, everything works, and the rear amplified speaker has audio. The db25 was jumpered for pins 1 and 2. Is the control head cable's connector not considered an internal speaker? Would I be better off just making up a set of pins to run the two pin speaker from pins 1 and 3? Or am I missing something else thats messing me up?
Thanks in advance,
Ryan
