Keyloading a XTL5000 with 05 head

Post by RFguy »

Just curiuos here, what cable is used to keyload a XTL5000 with the new 05 head?

Does it load through the round mic connector or is there a hirose or Spectra type jack somewhere else?

I saw this post, but it did not reference what style of head on the XTL5000

With an O5 head, you would use a Hirose cable with the GCAI adapter, part number HKN6182_.

You would keyfill via the GCAI adapter on the TIB on the front of the drawer if remote mount (I am unsure if you can also keyfill via the mic port on a remote mount), and the mic port if dash mount.
