MTX9000 MPL not available? Help

I am not sure if this is a programming or hardware problem.
MTX9000 front display, limited 6 button front. Using for CONVENTIONAL only. MTSX ver 6.8
I cannot get the MPLs to work.
I am able to add MPLs to the list in RSS.
I have enabled MPL on some channels.
I do NOT have MPL as a choice when adding menu items.
I CAN program a button for MPL but it does nothing.
I can program phone DTMF strings and they are working properly, does that indicate the front panel/controller combination is correct?
Ideas to try? thanks!

Sorry, the MTX9000 doen not support MPL even though you can seem to set it up in the RSS.
