MTS2000 "FAIL 01/82"

I just picked up two MTS2000 model# H01UCH6PW1AN radios and both show "FAIL 01/82" on the display.

Anyone out there encountered this problem and able to resolve it?

If anyone can send me a codeplug for this model, I would GREATLY appreciate it! I already checked codeplugsupersite without success.

What version of firmware are in the radios? I've had to drop back to a P2 or P3 computer with a real serial port, no USB adapter, to cure the 01/82 issue in a radio or two. It appears that some of the older radios just can't handle the speed of the newer computers. How old are the radios? My problem child is a pre-94 radio.
