Dull audio TX on XTL5000

Dull audio TX on XTL5000

My department has 4 XTL5000's with 05 control heads. It seems that the audio being transmitted sounds very dull or like low in frequency. Just not sharp or crisp. I don't think it is a problem with the mic, because it does it on all of the radios. I cannot seem to find a setting in the program that corrects it. I have tried adjusting the gain on the TX audio. Anybody have any suggestions??

is AGC enabled?
