Could you use a regular audio adapter and instead of a Surveillance mic hook that to a speaker?

so their is no other why then to buy the car kit?
Re: XTS3000 and a external speaker
Your best bet is the XTVA but I suppose you could take a replacement mic cord and "break off" the speaker lines and take that to a motorola speaker. I'm just not certain you'll drive it enough. Also you would have to match the output of the radio with the speaker as the internal and mic speakers are a much higher imped. value than the typical mobile speaker. From there you might need a little opamp etc. All of which is built into the XTVA.

An accessory connector for the radio and a powered speaker such as a computer speaker system. Something with an amplifier and impedance matching circuit built into it.Chrome69 wrote: if so what would i need?
Best of luck,
