I did a search, but didn't find an answer, so here's the question:
How do I get a HT750 to remember the scan state on power up? Right now, when powered up, it reverts to the scan being off, regardless of the prior scan state.

Re: HT750 scan on power up
it should go back to scanning if that's how it was when you turned it off. check the internal battery.

Re: HT750 scan on power up
You didn't state what revision firmware the radio now has loaded. I'm guessing that it's old firmware, and I'm not sure exactly what the revision was when M changed it to 'remember' the scan state on powerdown and retrieve it again on powerup. That was changed somewhere around revision 5.xx.xx or just before that revision was released.
If your firmware is old and you update or have the firmware updated your problem will go away.

Under Conventional Personality | Scan, uncheck the auto scan box.
That should take care of your problem.

He doesn't want one conventional personality to auto scan. He wants the radio to remember scan state. Two different issues.Hightower wrote:Under Conventional Personality | Scan, uncheck the auto scan box.

As other posters have suggested, it could be firmware, an internal battery issue, or perhaps some other issue. I don't believe there's a "remember scan state" checkbox in CPS, but I've not programmed a Waris in a while. EricK - what firmware revision do you have? You'll need to read the radio (actually read it - not just load a codeplug file) and find the firmware rev in the Radio Information box, since you don't have a display.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't ever remember seeing an internal battery in an HT750....they're used in the 12 and 1550 to keep the clock running when the radio's powered down. Why ever would you need one in an HT750 without a display or a realtime clock?

Re: HT750 scan on power up
There is no internal battery on the HT750 like there is on the HT1250 etc. If the radio is not remembering the scan state when it was last turned off as it should, I don't know what the problem could be, aside from perhaps firmware.Al wrote:Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't ever remember seeing an internal battery in an HT750....they're used in the 12 and 1550 to keep the clock running when the radio's powered down. Thanks everyone. I'll check the firmware revision.
