Ford E-150 Power Tap

Does the 2000 Ford E-150 have an under-hood, high current, power/accessory tap point? I have tried using the on-dash, cigarette lighter style socket and have problems when using a Yaesu FT-1500M at 50 Watts. I need to do a hardwired hookup.
