Hard Install Kit for i570?

Post by RESCUE161 »

Does Motorola make a hard install kit for an i570? I'd like to put a hard install kit in my truck, but I can't seem to find one that will work with the phone that I have. I suppose I could get another phone, but I'd want to make sure that it would do Direct Talk, be flip-style, be ruggedized and of course have a cradle that it would fit into.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Scott

Nothing shows up for it on MOL.

Usually there's a hard install kit page where that stuff popps up.

I looked when I got an i880 for a hard install kit, and could only find the stupid bluetooth ones.

Yeah, same thing here. I could care less about bluetooth... I just want to use a regular mic. I think I found one made by AdvanceTec. Has anyone used these?

It's not OEM for the i570, but if it works, I'd be happy.

We install the AdvanceTec units all of the time for hard installs. They are about the same in quality as the older OEM kit (so yes they will fail). You can use a Motorola HICK with and adapter cable, and the AT cradle if you have an older kit installed now. We also use the AdvanceTec HICK with Moto cradles with the adapter. They do cost a lot more than the Moto units.

I don't anything right now, so which HICK do you recommend? I see that AT offers a cradle for the i570, but Motorola does not. I guess I could buy a Motorola HICK and use the AT cradle with it. I just want the HICK to work good and not fail.
