Programming 3 position Toggle (MTX8000)

Post by swwesq »

I am trying to program a MTX8000 so that the 3 position toggle on the top of the radio can be use to switch the rotory from being used to switch between talk groups 1-16 to 17-32, and 33-48. What settings do I use in RSS or LAB?

This is a b3 version.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve, I may be wrong about this, but I don't think a B3 will give you 48 ch/tg. I think it is only good for 16. If I'm wrong, though someone please correct me.

Now to set the switch, in the RSS from main screen, F4 to edit radio, then radio wide (I think F2) then under radio wide go to the switch configuration screen. Then you can set it to zone select. You will have to set all six of the ABC switch positions to zone select, both trunking, and conventional.
