Motorola M120 and Zetron 38

Post by larryfire26 »

Would anyone know how to inteface a motorola m120 repeater system which works well with a rick box to a Zetron 38 box?

What would be involved as I need to set up station ID and end of transmission beep and the Rick does not do that

any help with pinouts and what ever else is needed would be appreciated

Thanks

Larry,

You do not need, and should not use the R.I.C.K. for this application. The Zetron M38 does everything you need, including time out timer
and ID.

Here's a link to the accessory connector on the radio....

and the rest is pretty self explanatory.

You should have a copy of the Zetron manual, as level setting with the 38A and 38M requires doing things in a specific order. The manual will also guide you througn connections to virtually any radio. I don't recall if manuals are available on the Zetron web site, but if not, send an email to tech service and I'm sure they'll provide one. Zetron is a wonderful outfit to do business with.
