Sudden startup fail 01/82 on Mcs2000

Hello experts I am the new kid on the block I need your help. I have a MCS2000 high power VHF Model II installed in my vehicle for the past two years and it was working fine this morning out of the blue @ start up I got a fail 01/82.why would this happen if the radio wasn't touched in two years and what can I do to correct it without sending it to Motorola I have CPS 1.13 thanks
