Suitcase - how to enter data

Post by kb8zqz »

I've finally assembled enough suitcase programmer parts to program Syntor X modules, and it all seems to be working. Except for the operator. Does anyone have enough gray hair and memory to remember how one enters the transmit and receive frequencies? It prompts for both at the same time, and I don't know how to move from one field to the other, or how to format the numbers. So far, everything I've tried results in "invalid freq".

Thanks,

De

What radios do you own?: Motorola, Icom, Sunair (HF).

Press 'enter' after entering each frequency, and it will jump to the next field.

As I recall, frequencies are entered with a decimal point. If it complains, try without the decimal. Examples:

With = 146.520
Without = 146520

You might need to enter enough trailing zeros to fill the field. I don't recall.

Happy tweaking.
