HT 1000 and GP 340 compability, Pinout problems?

I am trying to "hotwire" a HT 1000 Push To Talk - cable(for use with headsets), to use it on a GP 340. Does anyone know if the pinout require any particular tricks? Currently I have found audio and rx/tx , but no mic?

My iphone is currently connected via my nexus plug, and the ptt function on iphone is working beautifully. Any clues on how to combine both phone and vhf on the same headset?
