Help needed with a MSF5000 Encode/Decode kit

Post by 12Kbps »

Hello, I need some help from anyone who is experienced in taking a MSF5000 repeater CXB secure board (TLN3045C) from transparent to encode/decode. Aside from the hybrids and the internal keyfill cable (TKN8597), along with two ic chips (I think) and a battery holder with battery, for key retention, what else is needed? If this is all that is needed, the only reference in the instruction manual is to a kit TNN6005. It is NLA (SOL) from M. Any information would be appreciated. The only other way I thought of doing encode/decode would be to use one ciu (full duplex) or two ciu's (half duplex) and interfacing them to the repeater. The secure board way would be soooo much easier.

Thanks in advance. Mark

Has anyone done or even seen a MSF secure board setup for E/D? How about a MRTI 1000 on a MSF using E/D without dropping into clear for dtmf? Has it ever been done? Thanks, Mark
