Programming Options for HT1000

Post by bcoray »

I just purchased an HT1000 for UHF simplex operation.

I would like the option (similar to my p1225) to be able to defeat the PL tone by using a side button. The shop struggled to get this feature to work. What I am left with now is the middle button will defeat the PL after i hold it for 3 sec. However, as soon as I press the PTT, the PL defeat turns off and I have to press it again. I would love to have it perform like the p1225 and sp50 where once I press the OPT button, the PL defeat stays active until I turn the unit off or press the button again.

The shop was not willing to explore options with me and said what I have is what I get. Needless to say, I will be contacting a new shop. Does anyone know if what I am desiring can be done with the HT1000? Also, I would love to setup a scan funciton to scan all 16 channels. They are all simplex UHF. Again, the shop said it was too much trouble to setup the scan lists.

What programming options exist for the HT1000 buttons? I feel that this radio should give me more options as I paid twice as much compared to a P1225. Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions.

IIRC you can set the A-B-C switch to carrier squelch on RX on one of the positions. I don't think the monitor button can be set to do this, but I know there are several choices in the RSS for the A-B-C switch, and CSQ on RX was one of them.

you need to go back to them and demand your money back, the ht1000 is one of the easiest to program and you can set it up to do everything you wanted.

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
