info needed for VRS

Post by RADIOMAN2002 »

Does anyone have PDF or prints for the Motorola X9000/Spectra VRS. I have 2 of them that have stopped working. I've done the basic troubleshooting, they have power and are being recognized by the X9000. When I turn either on, they don't transmit the alert beep, and the display doesn't flash as it used to. Also has anyone converted them to use any other radios other than the Expo.

There are VRS models based on the RNet, but the RNet is a different audio board combined with an Expo RF board. Of course this means it is still crystal controlled.

The VRS manual part number is 6806273T69, the option housing manual is 6880101W97 and the Siren/PA manual part number is 6880101W10 (the VRS lives inside and connects to either the options housing or siren/PA housing). Sorry, my VRS manual set got lost several years ago, so I can't help out there.
