MTVA NTN1340C converta-com questions

Wanting to use the NTN1340C for MT2000, Mts2000 and an MTX portable. I have the converter, amplified speaker, wiring harness and the non-band specific control box.
I don't have a microphone. I see an RJ45 connector on the bottom of the cradle. Is that the standard Motorola mic connector? (Don't have the controller in hand yet, so I cannot just plug and play. Also don't want to hurt things if I'm not guessing correctly.)
I am also guessing that I can just connect the appropriate antenna (VHF, 800 or 900) to the mini-UHF on the bottom of the cradle.
Question one: What do the two DIP switches do? They're both off, toward the radio side of the cradle.

Question two: On one side, there is a somewhat stealthy three position switch. It looks like it can be pushed and turned with a coin, and I see three markings (I II III). WHAZZAT do?

I want to put this in a mobile SAR/EOC vehicle, so a round key would be handy. Are they all keyed the same? i.e. Can I just go to the local Motorola shop and buy a key? I might keep the radio from getting "borrowed" if left unattended.

The RJ45 connector is the standard moto mic connector. The supplied mic is a HMN1035C or HMN1056D but I believe you can use a maxtrac/gm300 type mic without any major repercutions. Yes - you can connect the mini-u connector to the appropriate freq range antenna. Those dip sw's are for different type mic's. For the hmn1035/1056 mic's both sw's are moved towards the front of the holder cradle unit. For hmn4044/4047 or nmn6209/6210 mic's they are set to the rear of the cradle unit. The stealthy three position switch is used to adjust the holder unit for different size batteries on the radio so it can fit snugly into the holder. Yes - the round keys are all the same.
