P1225--No Receive

Post by arlojanis »

I have an early model VHF P1225. It's model number is P93ZPC90A2AA. The power on beep is OK. Transmitt is OK. Programming is OK. The busy light is always flashing. There is no receive on channel, no receive on 44.850 or 455 IF frequencies. I have checked for water and broken parts. Have you repaired one like this ?

More often than not, the small plastic square & rectangular 455KHz ceramic filters need to be replaced.
