M1225 program qestion.

Hello :

Wondering about the programs used on M1225 mobiles.

If say for example a M1225 was last programmed with the newest version of windows program = Can you still program the radio with the old windows 3.1 version ?

If not - Is it possible to revert back to the Windows old 3.1 from the newest windows version it was programmed with last by programming in a saved code plug reading from a windows older 3.1 program that was saved for that very same and exact mobile ?

Is it possible to change a M1225 mobile that was last programmed with the newest windows program back to the older windows 3.1 version with a saved code plug reading from another M1225 that is the exact model number but not the same mobile ?

I do beleive that one will let you go backwards like that with an old saved codeplug but why would you want to

Thank you for the answer.
Why would i want to ?
Trying to avoid using two diferent laptops out in the field.
Dos in 6.22 and windows 3.1 = Same laptop.
Otherwise it looks like id need two laptops for Maxtracs and M1225 as an example.
On the older stuff anyway.

Version 3.2 (Windows 95/98/ME) and version 4.0 (Windows XP Windows 2000) for 1225 software is identical except for operating system requirements. Version 3.x will not run under XP or Win2K. Version 4.0 will not run on 95/98

You can program a radio with version 4.0 on an XP computer and then later program the same radio with version 3.2 on a win 98 computer. As far as using version 3.1, Upgrade it to 3.2.
