Hi, I did a search but most of the posts were a few years old and an a little unconclusive.
Anyhow, my question is, is the PTT button on the BDN6676 suppose to work even with nothing plugged into the adapter? Mine doesn't work and if I keep pressing the PTT button several times, the radio will occassionally emit a beep (from itself) but will not transmit.
This is a genuine BDN6676D audio adapter and my radio is an MT2000. I followed the instructions and turned off the radio to install the adapter. I know the accessory port works because my Motorola speaker mic works. Is there something in the codeplug that needs to be enabled? Does the "D" revision have anything to do with it? One difference I noticed between the "D" revision and the "B" revision of the BDN6676 is that the "D" revision has the part number molded into the seal whereas in the "B" revision it was ink stamped.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: BDN6676 audio adapter question
Nothing is wrong with your adapter, this is by design. Why would you want it to activate the PTT if nothing is plugged into it?TimL wrote:Anyhow, my question is, is the PTT button on the BDN6676 suppose to work even with nothing plugged into the adapter? Re: BDN6676 audio adapter question
The BDN6676 adapter requires an audio accessory with a 3.5 mm THREADED plug.
They can be just an earphone or a earphone/mic accessory.

Great, thanks for the reply! I had a feeling that was the case but I'm glad to get confirmation. Thanks again!
