Professional CPS Programming Question

Post by cpd249 »

I am attempting to program a conventional codeplug to an HT 1250 LS + The codeplug will have two zones. I am attempting to program the front P1 and P3 buttons to scroll through the zones. I have changed the setting in the buttons screen and when I press P1 or P3 it goes to a zone screen. But then to change zones I have to use the rotary knob to change zones. We are trying to change zones without having to use the rotary knob. Anyone have any ideas?

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

are you using any trunking systems in the radio, if not then just change the mode of the top knob to channel instead of zone.

and you should be able to use the p2 key and the key above it to cyle through the zones, so if you program p1 for zone, then use p2 and the button above it to cycle through the zones

You could also try programming P1 short press as Home Revert, and P3 short press as Home Revert 2, and set Home Revert to the first channel in Zone 1, and Home Revert 2 to the first channel in Zone 2.

Could switch to long press on those buttons if you want some measure of protection against accidental short keypresses.

Thanks for the responses. We ended up using the P1 and P3 keys as home revert keys in each zone.
