I have an EX600 that I have been working with. Currently I have one scan list just to mess around with. The only priority channel is the one that is selected. The 'PL Scan Type' is set for 'Priority and Non-Priority Channels'.
The problem that I am experiencing is while scanning. If the radio stops on a non-priority channel the audio changes. Initially it is as clear as it should be, then it becomes hollow and tinny. If I turn scanning off and change to that channel it sounds fine. I notice this every time the radio is scanning. But it never affects the priority channel.
**Additional Info - 10/4/08**
After playing with the Pro CPS I have noticed that the audio changes based on the 'Scan List' 'Priority - Sample Time'.
I adjusted the 'Sample Time' and from 1 second to 7 seconds and found the change in audio to occur based on that setting.
Radio Firmware is R05.09.02 - Maybe a firmware issue?????
Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks
David

Re: EX600 Scan issue
I have read in one of the FSBs that some have reported low audio level in similar conditions and with firmware versions prior to R05.09.02. The FSB states that the problem occurred when the audio processing filter was enabled. do you have audio processing enabled? If you do, I would guess that it's time for a firmware update. The current version is R05.13.09.

- What radios do you own?: A few APXs
Re: EX600 Scan issue
I did have the APF enabled. I just turned it off to see if it makes a difference. Do you have an idea how much a firmware upgrade goes for these days?
