Radius Mobile M214/216

Post by cduda »

Hello.

I have a radius mobile m214/216 type model. It was previously in a police patrol unit with an extension speaker. Where is the setting to change it back to use the primary speaker in the unit without any extra. As when I turn the unit on, the radio does not beep or when programming, beep when starting and ending. Also, there was 14 channels programmed in the unit but when you press the up or down channel button, it will not increase or decrease. Is this because the speaker is not attached?

I was however, able to read and re-program the unit with no problem.

Thank you

No setting in RSS for speaker.
You have to have a jumper on the back if 16 pin, or the internal spkr needs to be plugged in inside if 5 pin. If it came from the factory with external spkr, it may be missing the wire and plug that goes up to the front spkr.
Batlabs.com has the 16 pinout
Up/dwn problem is probably dirty contacts behind the buttons. Try mashing real hard on them, they will sometimes come back to life, or take the head apart and clean.
