Re: Spectra Trunking Radio ??
It can, but it's very unwise to program a trunking radio onto a system for which you are not authorized. Your best course of action is to just use a trunking-capable scanner. Programming a radio onto a trunking system for which you are not authorized may be construed as a computer crime. Re: Spectra Trunking Radio ??
Thank you.. I have read all the cons of using radios as scanners but I like the better receivers on the radios.. I feel if a person is only listening and the radio is programmed so it CAN NOT affiliate with the system a person is OK.. The system I listen to has no law enforcement, ems, fire, or any public entities using it, only farmers and contractors.. No mic and no affiliation should make a commercial radio a good scanner. Maybe that's still not legal but that's my problem..
What can I say? I use Motorola radios and enjoy them.
I'll consider myself warned!!!!!!
Thanks again,
BJ

Re: Spectra Trunking Radio ??
The only issue is that to program in the system, it will require the system key file which is proprietary property of Motorola and the system owner.

Will, it is not your position to tell d119 what he can and can't post - you are not a moderator or board staff of any type. Besides, he's absolutely correct.
