01/82 on Spectra Radio

Post by Mikey »

Ok, Here is the Skinny; i was trying to program a couple mobiles and they got totally screwed up with the computer i was using. Now they show a 01/82 Failure on the display when powered up. I didn't have archives from the 2 radio's that i was trying to program but i went out and read a radio that was identical and was the same model number, tried to clone that into the 2 bad radio's and a screen popped up that says something about the target radio having different options from the codeplug , but i clicked ok to proceed because i know this radio codeplug is identical too what the others were before i started jacking with them, it seems to take the codeplug, but after you go to read it back it says that the radio has been inhibited and that reprogramming it will fix it, now the freq's and names are all screwed up and i've about lost my patience with screwing with these worthless Spectra's. Can anybody restore the radio for me or is it foo-barrd?? it worked fine before i jacked with the programming.

I have restored many Spectras from the dreaded FAIL and RADIO INHIBITED messages.

Even if the other 'code plug' was the same model, the MLM versions probably do not match.
