Astro AVA mike pin out???

Post by ke6mtf »

I found a "NMN6169A" display mike, I know this is not the right one for the Astro Saber. But what is the difference?? Are they just pinned differently? Or is there more to it. Can it be modified to work for the Astro AVA fully??

It'll work on an Astro AVA, but not with an Astro Saber in the cradle. You'd need to use an analog Saber or System Saber.

Getting an Astro Saber AVA to work with an Astro HHCH is, well, tricky. The only configuration that has been verified to exist and function (by akardam, myself, and others) uses an AVA cradle with a part # of PLN7736A (which is NLA from Motorola) and a PLN7737 HHCH and requires HOST firmware in the radio between AP_R03.20.xx and R05.xx.xx
