GP300 Error 53

Post by Beta2K »

I get codeplug error 53 from teh RSS when I try to read this radio. Model M33GMC29CAA. Do I have to blank the board with the Maxtrac software or can I fix it some other way?

Thanks,

What radios do you own?: A few! Most I sign out!

Probably will not be of much help, Errors 51 though 58
is a indication of a Code Plug Corruption. Could be from the
Use of a Pentium Computer, Clone Rib or Clone Cable or a
combination of the above. (posted by Monty in 2002)

Try this: start the RSS, go to service (F2), go to the TX power, turn the power one click up or down, press program (F8 I think), F10 back to the main screen and see if it works.

a wattmeter or service monitor would be recommended.... Or another GP300. If another GP works that would rule out a RIB problem, Cable & pc prob! right now he can't read it...
If another GP works, or can be read, get your old codeplug back in...post your location. There are people here on the board that will service the unit for you....
