SP50 RSS Installation Problems

Post by cduda »

Hello.

I am having a problem getting my SP50 software to run correctly.

I have recently obtained a newer laptop and I am installing all of my software on the laptop. This unit has not had any software previously installed on it as I had to install Windows98 as a new OS.

My problem is this:

When I copied the software onto the computer and if I double click the exe file in windows, the program will load and you are able to go thru the screens and so forth, but when I run the program from pure DOS, When I go to read the radio, I am getting the model definition file is missing window coming up and unable to run the program.

Please help.

Thanks

It's a little odd. When you're in the SP50 directory in DOS, when you do a 'dir' command to view the files, do you see the mdf file? Perhaps Windows might have marked it as hidden or something odd like that.
