MSF 5000 DTMF Encoder/Decoder Programming Help

Post by d119 »

Anyone familiar with the QRN8800A and TRN9754A MSF 5000 DTMF Encoder/Decoder and Wild Card module?

I removed this off a customer's repeater today as it was causing problems with not allowing in-cabinet repeat. They originally used it for remote setup/knockdown of the repeater OTA with DTMF.

They said they were going to throw it out and that I could have it if I wanted it, so I obliged. They didn't remember the commands for it.

I would like to use it on another MSF 5000 for remote setup/knockdown. The DTMF Encoder/Decoder module has three LED's: Program, Decode and Encode. There is a 6-conductor RJ-type jack on the front of it labeled "Program", and it looks exactly like the "Control" jack on an MSF SSCB.

Anyone know how this is programmed? Is there special software, or ? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I also need to know how to program these. Can't find a manual anywhere.

Any suggestions?
