HT1000 does not power up?

Post by Driv3r912 »

Okay. In a previous post of mine (http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=81312), I had an issue where the port on an HT1000 radio would not work. I fixed it and a mic worked on it. However, when I went to program it, the radio would not be detected by the RIB Cable. Now, I tried other radios and they read, so it's not the cable. So, I tried plugging my mic back into the accessory port and it worked. So, I used another cover from another one of my HT1000 radios with a complete working port to read the radio which went great. I unplugged the front cover that I used with a working port on the radio and replaced it with the one that came with it (the one with the faulty port), and now, the radio does not power up at all? The battery is fully charged. I checked all the connections and it seems everything is intact? What could've went wrong? This happened to one of my MT1000s and I had to unplug a connection to reprogram the codeplug. My MT1000 did the same exact thing, it would not power up or do anything, but there was a trick to bypass the programming through the codeplug direct to get everything back online. Is there something similar I can do to the HT1000? I believe I have a faulty codeplug at hand at this time. Or is there something else wrong altogether? Any ideas would be great. I do have high hopes about a corrupted codeplug however and the radio is in a loop doing nothing.

UPDATE: I also toyed around with the switches and their flex. I took the entire Volume / Channel / ABC / Emergency Control Panel and their flex and tried it on another radio. It works. So, it's not the volume control. The flex that connects to a connector at the bottom left corner of the PCB Chip might be at fault? Or could it just be the a corrupt codeplug, and the radio doesn't know what to do like in my example with an MT1000 listed above. I've got the brains, but I've got this far and so far, it looks like I got a dead radio. Any ideas guys? Thanks.

UPDATE: Okay. I've ruled down to the issue. The control board on the HT1000, the lower half of the two boards is shot. I plugged the control port into another radio and it doesn't power up a radio that is fully functional. Replacing the radio that works with the original control board, it works again. The control board on my HT1000 needs to be replaced. And I'm having a devil of a time locating one. The part number is NTN7092B. Does anyone on here know where I can purchase one, and about the price range I'm looking at for a board? Thanks!
