Excessive noise GP-360 UHF

Post by cdickey »

Hey Fellas, Any suggestions?
We are using a quantar repeater in conventional state with a simple UHF zone setup. Its for approx 50 GP-360 users. I have set up quite a few simple systems before and never had this problem with lots of noise in the transmission thru the repeater. The system Im talking about is being used in Baghdad, Iraq on a military installation for a private contrator. maybe perhaps there is alot of ECM. (Electronic IED counter measures) being transmitted from military vehicles????Can anyone tell me what I can check. I was thinking about bypassing the duplexer to see if it got knocked out of tune. Maybe its a setting in the GP-360s ????? Please help...

Guys, Forget it...I figured it out. Comes to find out the former contractor had programmed a serious conflict in the codeplug with the repeater and several channels with identical TX freqs and in scan. Once I studied the codeplug long enough I finally saw the problem. Thanks Anyway....
