Receive only on P110?

Post by mebroich »

I purchased some of the older VHS radios that my company used to use.
I have successfully converted the 4 and 6 channel ones to 16 channel use....now I would like to start filling up those extra channels!

On our current radios at work, we had the dealer program the local weather radio station as channel 16. I would like do the same on these older P110's, but the RSS software only gives me the choice of "conventional" modes.

Can I disable Tx on a conventional mode, or
Do I bit-bash toe .mdf some more to add option, or
do I convert them to GP300's and start from there?

I'd love to enable the built-in Vox also.

Thank You
Mike

You should be able to type in the work "Blank" in the TX frequency field, should do the trick.
"Archers."
"I beg pardon, sire. Won't we hit our own troops?"
"Yes....but we'll hit theirs as well. We have reserves....attack"

I think you mean VHF. :p

Anywho, to program a channel as receive only, just type "Blank" in the TX frequency spot. Sometimes just "B" and ENTER will do it.

Thanks...I knew it had to be something simple. It worked like a charm. I put in all 7 NWS frequencies so we should be set for camping anywhere.

Any hints on enabling Vox?
