Ah sorry, I was thinking MT, not HT.

Does it make any beep or bonk when you press the select button? Could be the rubber button isn't actually pressing on the button inside the radio.

Otto, Go to the "Main Menu" then F3 = "Radio Configuration Menu" then F8 = "Scan List" then at the bottom left you should see F2 = "Scan Config" press it, you should see Nuisance Delete on the rt. side... Enable it....(if it says Disabled?)

On Mine the top side button is set to Select which will is the nuisance delete button, the middle side botton can go to Single tone or anything else, as long as its not programmed twice. Bottom Button, SB3 Monitor for open sql. My ABC is set to C= Scan, B = repeater operation, A = talkround.... So on my setup, if I'm in C, on the ABC switch, SCAN, and I want to do a Nuisance Delete on that channel, I would press Side Button 1 (top button)... Nuisance Delete will not work if you try to use the Nuisance del. feature on a Priority Channel, something else to check... This topic has been discused for many yrs. here. Even a Post on "How to Set up The ABC switch And the and side buttons", we got lots of replies.
So you can try it this way I have it set up? Or Do a SEARCH on the forum. You will get back lots of posts... Or just check to see if its Enabled, any area you highlight & press F1 in the program should take you to a HELP screen, F10 to get back where you were...Jim

You'd be surprised how often that happens in all facets of communications.
