MCS2000 Hand held control head
I have a UHF MCS2000 with a type II control head, Does anybody know if it is possible to adapt a hand held control head to this type of radio??
Re: MCS2000 Hand held control head
As far as I know, there was never an HHCH released for the MCS2000. I do believe there was one made for the GM950, which is the European equivalent of the MCS, but I've never heard of anyone being successful in making it work.

I concur with that. I've never seen an MCS 2000 with an HHCH.
I believe Motorola_otaku did a write up here on the board about using an XTVA HHCH with an MCS2000 and that it was functional to a limited degree, but probably not to the degree you'd want.

I did, but with a HMN4044 Astro W3 head: http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=69583d119 wrote:I believe Motorola_otaku did a write up here on the board about using an XTVA HHCH with an MCS2000 and that it was functional to a limited degree, but probably not to the degree you'd want.
It's amusing for about 5 minutes, but it certainly doesn't give you true handheld control head functionality.
