Firmware Upgrade

Post by Mopar078 »

I work at a Motorola shop and I submitted a quote for a software refresh firmware upgrade for a Astro Spectra and they sent me a quote of $75 for parts and labor $90. I was trying to order just the flash kit so I could flash it myself which should be $75 and I know the last time I send in a Astro Saber it was $75 so has anyone else got this quote for a firmware upgrade? The depot also quoted me $324 in parts and $150 in labor total $465 to change a XTS5000 m2 to m3, I told them I had the housing, keypad/dtmf board and they told me it didn't matter they still had to replace everything. Way to much.

I had a similar quote from the depot here in Canada, although it was $75 to order the flashport upgrade ourselves, or $90 total to send it to them to do it...not $75 + $90.
No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.
