Impres charger

I've look all over and can't find any info on this. I work for a small PD now and we have an Impres charger N4114AR. I know more about communications gear (not saying much) than anyone else in the dept. My question is, there's an A/B switch on the bottom of the charger, what's it for? The manual is long gone. Thanks,

If memory serves, the Impres chargers can emit an annoying hum when charging. The A or B switch eliminates that hum. I will stand corrected on that, but I think it is right.
