AS1 DIGITAL?

This is strange. I brought a bunch of UHF AS1"s to Orlando to have a friend program. Most are late host/dsp & IMBE & 1 meg.. They all programmed fine & work great with CPS 5.02, however the last 2 radios are 512k with old host/dsp but they look brand new & not recased. I figured I would use the codeplugs from the IMBE radios using the drag & drop method & just omit the IMBE freq's & use them as analog radios.. Both radios took the codeplugs & then I realized we forgot to omit the IMBE freq's. On the freq in question it couldn't xmit to the IMBE radios or rx from the IMBE radios. It wouldn't rx from a Jedi but could xmit to it but sounded like a digital transmission. However the 2 radios can speak to each other on the digital channels in some form of digital transmission. A freq counter confirms they are all on the same freq. Does anyone know what is going on here? GARY N4KVE
