Maxtrac 16 pin problems

Post by oldiron »

I have several 16 pin logic board Maxtracs with firmware from 5.34 to 5.36. My problem is that I need pin 8 to have active low COS output. I have programmed the radio in the accy. connector section to selection 5 on pin 8 which reads PL/CSQ Detect, Data direction = output Debounce = No, Active level = low. with all this accomplished still the voltage never shifts, it stays steady at 4.58V. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, I tried searching the site to no avail.

Just to gather more information, have you tried programming one of the other pins to be COS as well, just to see if it wiggles where pin 8 doesn't?
This is my opinion, not Aeroflex's.

I WILL NOT give you proprietary information. I make too much money to jeopardize my job.

I AM NOT the Service department: You want official info, manuals, service info, parts, calibration, etc., contact Aeroflex directly, please.

Is this a Conventional radio?

Trunked radios have a different setting.

It is a conventional 800 Mhz. I have been able to get the signal I need inside the radio as opposed to the connector, thanks for everyones input!
