Motorola Speaker Mic Audio Quality

I have a couple of Motorola OEM Accessory mics that do not produce the same clear crisp audio that I get using the internal mic, they sound muffled. Any ideas as to why, or a way to correct this. Dan

Which radio is the speaker mic used with ?

Thank for the reply... The radio is a Motorola CP200.

CHeck programming and test on diffrent cp200 because it could be the contact pins or just bad mics..
I monitor my PM's, So I should reply fairly quick...
