Another Maratrac Question

Post by jskaggs »

I'm trying to use a maratrac as a transmitter for a backup repeater for our dept and am using a CSI TP-163 tone panel for 2 differant CTCSS's. I don't plan to use a control head and have located all the connection points except where to inject the tones into the tx modulation. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

If the Maratrac is only the transmitter it makes it easy.

Look for a pad on the Logic circuit board near U701 pin 1. This pad actually connects to pin 2 of U701 the PL filter.
Inject the external PL tone thru a 300K resistor to this point.
