Gold Elite with GPS/WWV Board

Post by The Pager Geek »

I'm trying to add a WWV/GPS BIM to a gold elite console (conventional)

1200 Baud FW installed in the BIM, TDM/MUX jumpers are correct.
Added to the CDM ok
Primary Supv position COIM set-up as Primary Receiving
Secondary position as secondary
Remaining positions set-up as no supv status.
Spectracom GPS receiver sending data @ 1200 Baud Format 0, no request char.

What am I missing? Thanks for any help.

Past a certain version, Gold Elite no longer requires a WWV BIM for timekeeping [and won't work with one either], it's all done through the network.

You need a network time server to source time to the console network and then you must get all the network settings right.

Gold Elite systems running NT 4.0 still use the WWV BIM. After Q3 2001 Windows 2000 was the supported operating system.

Console systems with Windows 2000 or newer use the network based time sync.
