Which RSS to use?

Post by j_e_t_satx »

I am new to this forum, and there is likely already information regarding this, but I can't seem to find it. How do I determine WHICH RSS software is needed to program particular radios? Seems there are numerous RSS programs and all references seem to point out that you need to use the "right one for your radio". OK, how do I find out "which one" is "the right one"? I have several models of the Radius SP-50 handhelds (2 channel, 6 channel, and 10 channel, all UHF versions) ... will they all need different RSS programs? How do I find out which one(s) I need? Is there a reference guide on this forum somewhere?

As far as the DOS based stuff goes, all the applicable model & part numbers can be found in the "pentium compatibility matrix" posted as a sticky in this very forum:

There is a complete list including the Windows CPS versions available on Motorola Online in PDF format.
