MT1000 MVA

Two MVA questions: Are the main circuit boards interchangable between the regular MVA and the enhanced version? Can you just interchange the top housings with the circuit boards? Second question: It appears that 3 of my 4 units will not transmit (receiver remains on when PTT on mic is pressed) Mic is ok as it works in the 4th one, 1 enhanced and 2 regular. Nothing in the service manual discusses the PTT circuitry. Is that a common failure, as these were purchased at flea markets (supposedly all working) at different times?
