Re: Another FPP Question
Did you check the little box in each zone for FPP enable?

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Re: Another FPP Question
The FPP switch must be enabled before a zone is populated. I could be wrong, but I think you have to delete all zones other than Zone 1 and start over.

Re: Another FPP Question
Yeah, try deleting all the zones except zone 1.. Then when you add lets say zone 2 and up, check the FPP box and it will automatically populate each zone with 16 channels..

Re: Another FPP Question
The HELP file of the CPS is full of information about the setup and limitations of the
FPP capabilities of the XTS radios, including this one:
"The maximum number of FPP Enabled zones per codeplug is fifteen."

I tried the help file, but it did not solve the problem. I will try deleting the zones and starting over.

Re: Another FPP Question
Delete all but the first zone in the Zone/Channel section, starting with the highest numbered zone and working your way down.
Then, go into the Conventional > Conventional Personality section and delete all but the first 17 personalities, starting with the highest numbered personality and working your way down.
Go back to the Zone/Channel section and add 15 new zones (using the default settings option).
Then, starting with Zone 2, enable FPP per zone, sequentially, up to Zone 15.
What this will do (in theory, YMMV, void where prohibited, etc) is reset the relationship between the Conventional Personalities used in FPP-enabled zones, and the Conventional Personalities used in subsequent non-FPP-enabled zones.
You should end up with 15 FPP zones with 16 channels each, in total strapped uniquely to the first 240 personalities, and a 16th zone with one channel strapped to Conventional Personality number 241. From there on out, presuming you have >= R10 firmware in the radio, you can add as many non-FPP zones as you want to, up to the limit of the radio.
Motorola's FPP model on the Astro25 portables is a pain in the ass to deal with, and really the only way to go about it is to lay everything out how you want it in the very beginning, otherwise you may have to go back and start from scratch, as you've found out.

I'm often mistaken, but never wrong...
