Hack to program a Spectra on a splinter channel?

Post by Elroy Jetson »

One channel I need to program into a Spectra is a splinter channel, falling halfway between the 5 KHz channel increments that Spectra software allows.

Does anyone have a hack that'll allow me to get this done?

I don't believe a firmware/software hack will do what you want. The synthesizer's PLL reference governs the ultimate programmable synthesizer step size, so you're going to need a lower frequency PLL reference, PLL filter modifications in addition to programming software that will support the smaller programmable step size.
If you're only using one programmed channel, offsetting the radio's reference frequency(warp) by 2.5 Khz, + or -, will get you there.
