HT1000 AVS Question

Post by w1lp »

I recently bought a HT1000. I just wanted a normal VHF radio. This one however came with some sort of voice inversion board / scrambler. It is mounted on top of the controller board under the shield. This is a B version radio that looks to have the expansion port added on. I tried unplugging the board but the radio will not work without it. The AVS is toggled on and off using the emergency button. The thing that is bugging me is the AVS defaults to on when I turn on the radio. Any ideas on how to change this. I saw a couple of threads that mention special HT1000 RSS?

Thanks, Clint

Yes, there is a RSS for the AVS feature and fortunately it is pretty cheap far as RSS goes. The one specifically for HT1000 is needed,
the GP350 had a similar add on board and also uses a specific AVS Rss.
