Mystery mobile antenna coil

Post by WB6NVH »

I have some NOS Motorola "Coverage Plus" NMO style antenna coils, without the whips, which look like the last generation Larsen antenna coils, and just say "CoveragePlus" on the top, on a black background under the clear plastic ring, without a frequency range or any part numbers showing. The coil is 3 inches tall and physically looks just like a low band coil.

Before I take an antenna analyzer and/or the bandsaw to one of these, does anyone know about this model antenna? They don't show up in the Buyer's Guides I have.

I believe coverage plus systems were 800 or 900mhz.
